Jose Antonio Morales, 15, Dickinson, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson. Jose’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant.
Jose Antonio Morales was born May 17, 2005 in Fresno, Calif., the son of Estefana Morales. He was raised in Fresno until two years ago when they relocated to Dickinson where he was a member of the sophomore class at Dickinson High School. He enjoyed playing video games, basketball, baseball, boxing and lifting weights.
Jose is survived by his mother, Estefana Morales; step-father, David Barrera; siblings, Jesus J. Torres, Betzy M. Barrera, Linette A. Barrera, Kaylee N. Barrera and Eliana J. Barrera; uncles, Arturo Gutierrez, Jr., Jesus Gutierrez and Esteban Gutierrez; grandparents, Aurora Guiterrez, Dallas, Texas, Francisco Morales, Fresno and Mario Barrera, Mexico.
He was preceded in death by her grandmother, Martha Barrera; and uncle, Javier Morales.
