Date of Funeral

Thursday, March 11, 2021

Edward “Ed” Erhardt, 74, Richardton, died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his home, north of Richardton. Join us for a gathering of family & friends to celebrate Ed’s life on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.

Ed was born on December 30, 1946 with his twin sister Edna to John and Maggie (Miller) Erhardt. Growing up on the family farm Ed always knew he would return. After moving to Dickinson with his wife Rosie and their children Scott and Laurie he started working at Frontier Glass (which later became Viking Glass) and in 1992 he became the owner. He retired from the glass business in 2011 and he and Rosie moved back to the family farm where he resided since.

Ed was one heck of a sausage maker which also involved a lot of beer drinking, whiskey shooting, and sausage tasting until it was just right! The days didn’t go by without a “quick” hand of pinochle or a run to the casino to play 5 bucks. He also loved watching a good game of football and discussing with his son-in-law Brad about who was a better team. His greatest joys (besides his John Deere tractor) were his grandkids Alec and Austin “The boys” they loved their Papa and will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Rosie, of 55 years; son, Scott Erhardt; daughter, Laurie (Brad) Kordonowy; grandchildren, Alec (Taylor Kadrmas) Erhardt and Austin Erhardt; sisters, Angie Bolton, Lorraine Bosch, Ann (Dallas) Pasley and Alice Christianson; brother, Marc (Joyce) Erhardt; brothers-in-law, George (Mei Mei) Schneider and Gary Schneider; sisters- in-law, Connie Schneider and Kathy Schneider; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Edna; his parents; sisters, Agnes Phagen and Isabelle Forster; brothers, Ralph and Norman; seven brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and his beloved dog, Puppy Dee.
