David R. Lawrence, 73, Gladstone, died Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. David’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. William Ruelle as the Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.
David R. Lawrence was born May 14, 1947 at Dickinson, son of Robert B. and Fern C. (Johnson) Lawrence. He grew up on a farm northwest of Gladstone where he attended country school and the Versippi School. He went on to attend and graduate from Model High, Dickinson in 1965.
David was united in marriage to Gladys Senger on October 28, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He farmed throughout his life, but also worked at Cargill and Northern Improvement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making casino runs, and was very creative and loved to fix things.
David is survived by his siblings, Carlotta Ehlis, Dickinson, Roberta (Harold) Stroh, Troutdale, Ore., and Robert Lawrence, Gladstone; and his nephew and niece, Nathan Ehlis and Audrey Stroh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys on February 28, 2016; and his parents.
