Ann Heidt February 12, 1922 - October 12, 2020

Ann Heidt, 98, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2020.

Ann Kuntz was born February 12, 1922 in Hettinger County to Martin and Wilhelmina (Greff) Kuntz. She grew up on a farm in St. Michaels Community where she attended grade school. In 1940-1942 she moved to Rochester, Minn. and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital where she met the love of her life John Heidt. Ann married John Heidt on May 7, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson and they shared 54 wonderful years together and three children.

After their children graduated, Ann took on a few jobs cleaning homes and painting inside and out. She enjoyed yard work and loved to crochet, making quilts, embroidering dish towels and doing crafts which she shared with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters and friends.

Ann loved going to daily mass, praying the rosary, playing pinochle and bingo, but most of all going on trips to visit children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Tom (Carol) Heidt, Selah, Wash.; two daughters, Carol (Dave) Johnson, Loudon, Tenn. and Sandy (Rick) Olson, Bismarck; grandchildren, Angie (Heidt) Della Salla, Michael Heidt, Carie (Johnson) Krupicka, Cory Johnson, Sonia (Olson) Skorheim, and Sarah (Olson) Keller; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Grace, Daniel and Andrew Skorheim, Ella and Logan Krupicka, Camden Johnson, Fox Keller and Jordan Della Sala; and one sister, Tillie (Leo) Stein, Gladstone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on October 14, 2000; her parents; five brother, Martin, Henry, Vincent, Pete and Anthony; six sisters, Margaret Kuntz, Elizabeth Jordan, Minnie Koffler, Helen Mullen, Eva Wanner, and Ceceila Jorgensen; one granddaughter, Michelle Heidt.

Ann was a sweet soul and a blessing to all who knew and loved her, she will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.

Due to the pandemic a private service will take place.
