Philip “Phil” Dukart, 93, Dickinson, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. A private family Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.
Philip G. Dukart was born May 31, 1927 to John L. and Elizabeth (Urlacher) Dukart of Dickinson.
Philip farmed most of his life on the family homestead by Schefield. In 1948, he married Veronica Heidt where they raised their seven children (Judy, Elvera, Daniel, Willy, Cindy, Cliff, and Neal). Phil was a hard worker and had multiple jobs throughout the years. Prior to retirement, he enjoyed working maintenance and landscaping at the Dickinson Clinic.
Phil loved music. Learning to play the piano and accordion by ear, he loved to entertain. He always had a story to tell over a game of dice or cards in his heavy German accent. He would take great delight in showing off his exquisitely kept lawn and an unnecessary massive garden.
