George J. “Boss” Burger, 88, Dickinson, died Sunday, January 26, 2020 at CountryHouse Residence. There will be a Liturgy of Word Service at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Dallas Carlson presiding. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
George J. Burger was born May 14, 1931 in the Hebron area, the son of Henry and Katherine (Bergmann) Burger. He was raised and educated on the family farm in the Hebron area. He worked milking cows, breaking horses, general farm work and many other farm activities.
He spent his life working for area farmers and ranchers as a good and loyal farm and ranch hand. George enjoyed working and helping others. He did a good job at the tasks that he was taking care of. In his spare time he enjoyed westerns, playing cards, bingo, and a little gambling.
George is survived by his brother, Henry (Richianne) Burger, LeRoy, Minn.; brother-in-law, Elmer Krebs; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and numerous siblings.
