Sherry A. Urlacher, 70, Taylor, died Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Goodyear, Ariz. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a rosary at 2 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service. Inurnment will take place at the Dickinson Mausoleum.
Sherry A. Svihl was born February 15, 1949 at Dickinson, daughter of George and Grace (Ridl) Svihl. She was raised and educated in the Richardton and Taylor area, having graduated from Taylor High School in 1967.
She married Paul Gjermundson in May 1969 at Taylor Lutheran and to this union three children were born, Aaron, Amy and Apryl. While raising the kids, she also worked various jobs.
Sherry married Duane F. Urlacher on June 24, 1988 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton and they made their home at Taylor. She worked for ABLE and Anfinson’s prior to beginning a 15 year career as office manager at Walco.
In 2015, her cancer returned which she battled until her death.
She loved art, painting, sewing and cooking. Following the birth of her grandchildren, they became her greatest joy and inspiration.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Duane, Taylor; children, Aaron Gjermundson, Taylor, Amy (John) Estrada, North Platte, Neb. and Apryl Swenson, Sterling, Colo.; ten grandchildren, Andrew, Kristina, Eva, Brenna, Bray, Brylee, Shea, Bryce, Kaden and Ashtyn; four great-grandchildren, Shane, Aubrey, Charlie and Rayna; sister, Sandy Score, Fargo; and brother, Scott (Carlene) Svihl, Sun Lake, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sherry’s Wishes.
