Elaine Tormaschy, 76, Gladstone, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Colorado. Elaine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton, with Fr. Thomas Wordekemper, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Elaine was born September 27, 1942 in Richardton, the daughter of Alex J. and Hildegard (Huthmacher) Hauck. Elaine was raised on the AX Ranch north of Richardton with her six siblings riding horses and raising a garden with her mother and always the photographer. Elaine grew up in Richardton and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Elaine then attended St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in Dickinson. She went to Oregon for a while and then returned to marry Ernest Tormaschy.
Elaine married Ernest Tormaschy on June 29, 1965. They had four children Paula, Susan, Mark and Clara. Elaine raised her kids on the Tormaschy farm six miles east of Dickinson.
She is survived by her children; Paula (Hugh) King, Susan (Joe) Folks, and Clara Tormaschy; seven grandchildren, Paul James Tormaschy, Alexandria King, Samantha King, Tiana King, Kaylyn King, Jessica Tormaschy, and Jordan Tormaschy; siblings, Mel Hauck, Della Schwab, Mary (Terry) Bertsch, and Chuck (Nancy) Hauck, Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Mark; and brothers, Jim and Ronald.
