Glenda J. Redmond, 71, Belfield, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, surrounded by her family. Glenda’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Medora Community Center, Medora, with Chaplain Deb Howie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Glenda Griffin was born to Melvin and Margaret (Gunkel) Griffin, she joined brother Raymond and Bud. Glenda received all of her schooling at Belfield, except for two years at Trotters. In July 1965, she married the love of her life and best friend Connie Redmond. Connie and Glenda moved around from 1965 to 1968 while he was working in the oil and construction industries. In 1969, they moved to Ismay, Mont. and worked there until 1978. In March, they moved back to the ranch in North Dakota and lived there ever since. In addition to being a ranchers wife, Glenda worked as a “permit chic” for several years and she drove bus for Billings County School.

Glenda loved to entertain, visit with people, play marbles, go dancing and dressing up at Halloween.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Connie; their three children, Dream (Aaron) O’Brien, Dickinson, Laurel (Bob) Main Jr., Dayton, Wyo. and Leighton (Sara) Redmond, Mobridge, S.D.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Bud (Laura) Griffin; her sister-in-law, Mary (Kenny) Abrahamson; and all the kids who thought of her as their second mom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Raymond; and her nephew Dallas. In lieu of flowers, please give a memorial to a charity of your choice or the the Dickinson Public Library Foundation, St. Benedict’s Health Center or CHI St. Alexius Health and Hospice.

Glenda’s family would like to thank the staff at CHI St. Alexius Health and Hospice and St. Benedict’s Health Center. A special thank you to Andrea, who will forever be our angel.
