Irene Marie Braun was born February 6, 1929 in Schefield, daughter of Thomas and Rosa (Wandler) Braun. She was raised and educated in the Schefield area, having attended St. Pius School. After having met the love of her life at a baseball game, she was united in marriage to Kasper Binstock on October 27, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson. Together they farmed the Binstock family farmstead east of Regent. They remained on the farm until December 20, 2016, at which time they moved to Dickinson.

She was a member of St. Henry’s Church and Guild, having served as a group leader. Irene was part of a very special group of friends who gathered for 50 continuous years to celebrate their names days. Irene loved spending time in her garden and with her flowers. She was a woman like no other, working from early morning until late at night — there was nothing she didn’t do. She had the ability to make a full meal for anyone who stopped by in a matter of minutes. Everyone was welcome.

After moving to Dickinson and becoming a city slicker, her days were spent talking on the phone, checking facebook, sending snapchats and making new friends. She never missed sending birthday wishes to every single family member and she always included a weather report in every card. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved every one of them unconditionally.

Irene is survived by her husband, Kasper, Dickinson; children, Karla (Randy) Peters, Dickinson, Dorene (Frank) Schnaidt, Dickinson, Curtis (Sheryl) Binstock, Dickinson, Denise (Mark) Aide, Bottineau, Jolene (Tim) Wilhelmi, Dickinson, Leon (Cathy) Binstock, Wahoo, Neb., Deann (Bill) McCoy, Plentywood, Mont., Scott (Patti) Binstock, Strandquist, Minn., Lisa (Brian) Steckler, Bismarck, Randy (Julie) Binstock, Dickinson and Amy (Jerry) Shobe, Dickinson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brad (Julia) Peters (Blake, Jace, Collin), Mitch (Jenni) Peters (Quade, Charley), Jayden (Haylee) Peters (Quinn), Theresa (Todd) Moore (Bryson, Kyler, Kalissa, Brielle), Tyler Schnaidt, Dustin Schnaidt, Jennifer (Kade) Larson (Adaline, Felicity), Brittney (Shaun Decker) Schnaidt (Dominic), Andrew Schnaidt, Ryan (Jess) Binstock, Derek (Amanda) Binstock, Nathan (Alyson) Binstock (Brantley), Alex Binstock, Katie (Josh) Kringen (Cruz, Piper, Harlow), Kelsey (Keri) Stanley (Aida, Bodie), Abbey Aide (Leslie Crosten), Harrison Aide, Whitney Wilhelmi, Cole Wilhelmi, Rachael Binstock, Ashley Binstock, Zach (Rayel) McCoy (Rory), Matt McCoy, Megan Binstock, Devon Binstock, Brandy Binstock, Samantha Steckler, Emma Steckler, Madison Steckler, Jackson Binstock, Tanner Binstock, Sydney Binstock, Luke Shobe and Jake Shobe; siblings, Hilde Herauf, Billings, Mont., Tony (Lorraine) Braun, Dickinson, Johnny Braun, Wilmar, Minn., and Eugene (Shirley) Braun, West Fargo; numerous nieces and nephews; and the extended Binstock family.
