Jeff L. McMahen, 62, Dickinson, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at his home with family at his side. There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends Reception on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery.
Jeff Lane McMahen was born February 17, 1955 in Dickinson, son of Thomas J. and Helen (Knutson) McMahen. He was raised and educated in the Werner and Halliday area. He loved his work in the oil and gas industry and most recently was with Nabors Drilling as a tool pusher.
He married Jean Neurohr and to this union two sons, Damien and Thomas, were born. He was later united in marriage to LaDonna Galster on December 21, 1990 in Dickinson and a third son, Sean, was born. With this union, Bryan and David were brought into the family.
He loved fishing, hunting, playing basketball with the boys, coin and arrowhead collecting, and spending time at the lake cabin.
Jeff is survived by his wife, LaDonna; five children, Damien (Erin) McMahen, Dickinson; Thomas (Kelsey Kraft) McMahen, Mandan, Sean (Katelyn) McMahen, Dickinson, Bryan (Trish) Wanner, Williston, and David Galster, Dickinson; grandchildren, Kaolin, Clayton, Jacob, Reagan, Chanelle and Kinsley; siblings, Peggy (James) Gegelman, Beulah, David (Sandy) McMahen, Halliday, and Sharon (Tom) Weisenburger, Prescot, Ariz.; and sister-in-law, Carol McMahen, Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gerald McMahen.
