Virginia B. Loffelmacher, 86, Dickinson, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Memorial Service for Virginia will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Rev. Dick Rinearson officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday.

Virginia Belle Noyce was born January 7, 1932 in Bowman, daughter of Charles D. and Nellie B. (Clark) Noyce. She was raised and educated in the southwestern North Dakota.

Virginia was united in marriage to Don Loffelmacher on February 15, 1957 at the Dickinson United Methodist Church. They had lived and farmed near New Hradec prior to moving to Dickinson. She received her teaching certificate and spent the next 36 years teaching mostly in the elementary schools in Scranton, South Heart, Belfield, Glen Ullin, Underwood and New England. She also served as the County Superintendent for one year in Medora. The last 29 years of her career, she was a Chapter I Reading Specialist.

She enjoyed reading, animals and especially children.

Virginia is survived by her five children, Cameron C., Dickinson, Harold (Lonna), Rapid City, S.D., Harlan (Joyce), Spokane, Wash., Michelle (Seth) Loffelmacher, Rapid City, and Cheryl (Jim) Erickson, New England; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary Lou Anderson and Charles (Cyndi) Noyce, Dickinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on January 20, 2015 and her parents.
