George Krushevsky, 89, Fairfield, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Richardton Health Center, Richardton. George’s Divine Liturgy will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fairfield, with Fr. Yurii Sas as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Cemetery, Fairfield. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. There will be a Panakyda at 7 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Leonard Kordonowy presiding.

George Krushevsky was born October 3, 1927 on the family farm north of Belfield in Billings County, the son of Fred and Barbara (Jarowski) Krushevsky. He was raised and educated in the same area. He took over the farm and ran cattle and raised grains until his retirement in 1996. He remained on the farm until April of 2015 at which time he became a resident of the Richardton Health Center.

He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage and the family traditions. He took pride in having lived in and maintained the original sod house and the barn. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Demetrius Ukrainian Church. He enjoyed playing Black Jack, liked to read, raising chickens, and especially all aspects of farming.

George is survived by his sister, Ann Anheluk, Dickinson; sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Krush and Jo Krush, Dickinson; brother-in-law, David Prociw and a boatload of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 11 siblings, Anton, Alex, Ludwina, Mary, Toni, Helen, Lenora, John, Mike, Peter and Paul.
