Roger S. Farrier 74, Dickinson, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday February 27, 2017 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Dick Rinearson officiating. Visitation will be Monday 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Roger Stewart Farrier was born September 24, 1942 to Harry and Amelia (Stewart) Farrier in Uniontown, Pa. He was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and following his graduation Roger enlisted in the United States Air Force.
In 1964, Roger married Anita Fowler. To this union one child was born, Biby. They moved around with the military from Little Rock, Ark. to Great Falls, Mont. Roger also worked moving trailers and driving propane trucks. He had his own trailer moving business as well.
Roger worked for Haliburton for 23 years moving from Glendive, Mont., Williston, Dickinson and the Belfield area, eventually settling in Dickinson. He married BobbyLee Boomer on June 22, 1998. They were blessed with one daughter, Christy. After retirement, Roger worked for UAP and Dan’s County Market.
He loved to spend time looking at the stars through his telescope and working on his electric train set that took up an entire room in his house. Roger had a love for birds, owls, rabbits and his pet parrot. He especially loved to travel and see his family.
Roger is survived by his wife, BobbyLee, Dickinson; two daughters, Biby Farrier, Tacoma Wash., and Christy Farrier, Dickinson; two grandchildren, Brandy and Becky; three great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Cameron and Tristan; sister, Ruth Ann (Don) Strother; brother, Harold (Carol) Farrier; sister, Gay (Steven Cundiff) Covell; niece, Wendy, nephews, Mark and Jason and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents.
