Darin J. Praus, 35, Dickinson, died Saturday, November 26, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius, Bismarck, surrounded by his family, due to complications of Diabetes. Darin’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Patrick Ojedeji as the celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Thursday with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.
Darin Joseph Praus was born March 19, 1981 in Dickinson to Anton “Tony” and Eleanor (Wanner) Praus, Jr. He was raised in educated in Dickinson. He worked various labor and oil field jobs in Dickinson.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed working and training horses. Darin loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews and listen to music.
Darin is survived by his mother, Eleanor, Dickinson; six siblings, Galen (Clover) Praus, Dickinson, Laurie Praus, Dickinson, Calvin (Dawn Ridl) Praus, Gladstone, Anthony (Stephanie) Praus, Dickinson, Dean Praus, Dickinson, and Kyle (Alissa) Praus, Dickinson; 10 nieces and nephews, Nathan, Annie, Taylor, Shalee, Treysen, Tysen, Ariana, Beau, and Adelynn Praus, and Caden Handran; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Tony Praus Jr., his grandparents, uncle Ervin Praus, and aunt Marge Galland.
