Victoria W. Sadowsky, 83, Dickinson, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Victoria’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will take place at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, New Hradec. Visitation will be on Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Victoria Wilma Rambousek was born May 16, 1933 on the family farm near New Hradec, the daughter of Anton and Mary (Luptak) Rambousek. She attended grade school at the nearby country grade school, and two years at Model High School in Dickinson, where she was a member of the Glee Club.

She worked at Greene Drug in Dickinson until her engagement to Louis J. Sadowsky. They were united in marriage on May 3, 1954 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, New Hradec. They lived on the family farm north of Dickinson where they raised beef cattle, grain, chicken and geese, even trying guinea hens. She loved to garden and would freeze and can many of the fruits and vegetables. While on the farm they were members of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, and she belonged to the Rūženecký Spolek.

In addition to raising their five children, she enjoyed baking, cooking, embroidery, coffee parties, pinochle, and dancing to polkas and waltz’s. In December 1977, they retired and moved into Dickinson. After joining Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Victoria became a member of the Service Circle, where she helped serve many funeral lunches.

Victoria is survived by her loving husband, Louis; son, Darrell (MaryAnn) Sadowsky, Gladstone, and their children, Justin (friend Melissa Hovland), Dustin (Courtney), Travis (Lacy), Alexia (Brandon) Eslinger, and Bobbie Jo (fiancé Casey Doll); son, Brian (Susan) Sadowsky, Dickinson, and their children, Brandi (Aaron) Dorval, Cora (Steve) Tormaschy, Allison (Seth) Combs, and Chad (friend Ashlie Heck); daughter, Leonice (Jeff) Splichal, Kindred, and their children, Matt (Nicole), and Kathryn (Eric) Stoddard; daughter, Roxanne (Doug) Ficek, Manning, and their children, Tiffany (Casey) Roshau, and Darren (friend Randi Wanner); and daughter, Tina (Mark) Jassek, Dickinson, and their children, Jillian (friend Jesse Kubik), and Trever; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha Marsh, Dickinson, Georgian Steffan, Dickinson, Henry (Gladys) Rambousek, South Heart, Margie Jilek, Dickinson, and Shirley Dahmus, Fargo; sister-in-law, Edith Rambousek, Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brothers, Charlie and Joseph; infant sister, Edith; siblings and spouses, Tony Rambousek, Andrew Rambousek, Dorothy (Andrew) Ridl, Mary (John) Praus, Eleanore (Charlie) Marsh, Paul Dahmus, Tony Jilek, Sylvin Steffan, and George Marsh.
