Ilene (Hanel) Gill, 69, formerly of New Hradec, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at home in Eugene, Ore., of ovarian cancer. A memorial gathering and service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with her brother Deacon Harvey Hanel presiding. Inurnment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, New Hradec.
Born on December 30, 1946 in Dickinson, North Dakota to the late Dorothy and Laudie Hanel. Ilene graduated from Eastern Montana College, Billings, Montana with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was united in marriage to Steve Gill at Missoula, Montana on March 18, 1989. Ilene and Steve moved to Oregon in 1996. Ilene liked to quilt, bake and interior decorate but her greatest passion was bingo.
Ilene leaves behind her husband Steve, son Scott Ward, daughter-in-law Nesrin Ward and granddaughter Lubna Ward. Daughter Tami Foell. Sister and brothers Lorraine Kudrna, Donald Hanel and Harvey Hanel.
