Gladys Lawrence, 68, Gladstone, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Gladys’ Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ron Keller presiding.

Gladys Senger was born March 7, 1947 at Richardton, the daughter of Valentine and Martha (Schumacher) Senger. She was raised and educated in the Dodge area, graduating from Dodge Public School. She went on to attend the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, earning a LPN degree.

Gladys was united in marriage to Dave Lawrence on October 28, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. They made Dickinson their home until the late 1980’s when they moved to the Lawrence family farm near Gladstone. She had worked as a nurse throughout her life, as long as her health allowed.

In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, reading, trips to the casino, hunting with Dave, and cherished her devotion to her Holy Hour.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Dave; siblings, Stephena Bosch, Bismarck, Katherine Zeece, Richardton, and Loretta (Gilbert) Mehrer, Mott; sisters-in-law, Helen Senger, Olympia, Wash., Mary Senger, Dickinson, and Deanna Senger, Dodge; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Tony, Frank, Nick, Jake, Mary Halter, and Caroline Ehresmann.
