Helen P. Frenzel June 18, 1927 - September 21, 2015

Early Morning, Monday, September 21, 2015, Helen P. Frenzel, 88, passed into the spirit world to join her best friend and husband, Clem. Her wishes were for cremation and that a private family service be held at a later date in her home state of Montana.

Helen was a tender and caring person and family was most important to her, loving them unconditionally. Even though her family will miss her terribly, we know she is smiling and content and at peace having been reunited with her beloved Clem.

Helen was born June 18, 1927 at Terry, Mont., to Fred and Sophia (Janke) Kuehn. She was raised and schooled in Terry, and after high school, met, fell in love and married Alex Schott. Together they moved to Glendive, Mont., and raised three sons and one daughter. She lost Alex unexpectedly in 1968. When she met Clem two years later, they married on Christmas Eve, 1970, and she moved to Dickinson, and among many other activities, helped Clem run his shoe business, “Frenzel Shoe Repair”.

Helen was always busy taking care of her family and for a time held down two jobs. She loved cooking, baking, caring for her grandchildren and even raising a granddaughter. In 2010, Helen and Clem retired and made St. Benedict’s their home.

She was preceded in death by Clem, and her son Daniel Schott. She is survived by three children, and a very special granddaughter that was as close to her as a daughter, Amanda Curry and a treasured great-grandson, “her little cowboy”, Ayden, Madison Lake, Minn. Her three children, Gary (Bernadette) Schott, Green Valley, Ariz., Allen (Sue) Schott, Sheppard, Mont, and Roann Schott (Paddy), Missoula, Mont. She also has several grandchildren residing in Calif., Colo., Mont., and France, all of whom she was very proud of.

Right up to the end she was busy reading, and crocheting special pieces for her family. Helen was a very beautiful and extremely strong woman. She never gave up and leaned on her strong Christian faith. Rest in peace. We love you.
