Marjorie A. “Marge” Hoffman, 70, Belfield, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dickinson. Marjorie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Belfield, with Fr. William Ruelle as the celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the church with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Marjorie A. Piotrowski was born July 10, 1944 at Belfield, the daughter of Charles and Josephine (Duletski) Piotrowski. She spent most of her life in Belfield, except four years spent in Columbus, Mont., where she graduated from Columbus High School. She moved back to Belfield in 1963 and went to work for Pete’s Café until 1966, when she and George eloped to Worland, Wyo. They had their marriage blessed at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on March 18, 1967.
They farmed and ranched together until 1991, when they had an auction sale. Marge went to work for Hugelen’s Inc. in house keeping, then as manager for the Pizzeria for 11 years, retiring in 2007. In 2011 she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and had five surgeries on her neck.
She belonged to the St. Anthony Club, St. Margaret’s Guild, and the Eagle’s Ladies Auxiliary. Marge enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, the computer and playing cards.
Marge is survived by her husband, George; her siblings, Leonard Piotrowski, Austin, Texas, Larry Piotrowski, New England, Chuck (LaRae) Piotrowski, Dickinson, Charlene (Ed) Praus, Hettinger, Brenda (Ed) Roller, Belfield, Virginia Palaniuk, Belfield, and Vicki Schneider, Dickinson; sister-in-law, Pat Piotrowski, Boston, Mass.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and John; two sisters, Barbara Lawrence and Marie Cerkoney; sister-in-law, Gail Piotrowski; and brothers-in-law, Slim Lawrence, Ernest Schneider, Emil Cerkoney, and Max Palaniuk.
