Kevin’s funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at St. John Evan. Lutheran Church, Dickinson, with Rev. Cal Oraw officiating. Interment will take place in the Spring at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Kevin was born October 12, 1992 in Dickinson, the son of Kevin Lee Theurer, I. and Cynthia Wariner, both of Dickinson. He was the oldest of their eight children and also had a half sister. He graduated from Dickinson High School in 2011 and briefly attended Dickinson State University with the thought of being a history teacher and coach. He then joined the “family” career following grandpa Jim, great uncle Roger, father Kevin, uncle Chris, uncle Derek and cousin Michael into the oilfield business working for Nabors Drilling. He will be greatly missed by his crew of Chris, Michael, Jeremy, Zane, Leroy and Shane.

Kevin enjoyed family, friends and sports. While attending Dickinson High School, he pitched for the Dickinson High Midgets and later played basketball on his uncle Jesse’s city league team. This past summer he coached his little brother Tanner’s basketball team “the Roughriders”. He was extremely close to his siblings and attended as many of their sporting and school events as possible, cheering from the sidelines. He watched brother Preston’s track, football and basketball games. He also watched brother Tanner’s basketball and football games, his sister Brittney’s basketball and softball games and sisters Jersey, Jocelyn and Kezley’s gymnastics and dance recitals. During basketball season you could find him wrestling his brothers for couch space as they watched rousing games.

He also enjoyed family outings such as camping, boating and fishing at Lake Tschida every summer, hunting with father Kevin, brothers Preston and Tanner and cousin Michael. He was further blessed with his many cousins, his uncle Chris, aunt Gina and especially aunt Carrie and Jesse. When not with family, he was with friends attending local sporting events and occasionally driving to Fargo to meet up with former classmates.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents; Arnold Mortenson, Helen and Jack Egly, Katherine and Pete Huschka and grandfathers, Jerry Wariner and Mike Theurer.

He is survived by his parents Kevin Lee Theurer, I. and Cynthia Ell; sisters, Courtney, Brittney, Jersey, Jocelyn, Kezley and Emercyn; brothers, Preston and Tanner all of Dickinson; grandparents, Annette Theurer, Elgin, Jim (Marilyn) Huschka, Dickinson, Evelyn “Tweety” Wariner, Bismarck; and great-grandmother, Bertha Mortenson, Bismarck. Also numerous aunts and uncles, Mike (Penney) Theurer, Austin, Texas, Kathy Theurer and David Roll, Elgin, Chris (Gina) Wariner, Dickinson, Carrie (Jesse) Splichal, Dickinson, Jesse Wariner, Bismarck, and Derek Huschka, Dickinson; and many cousins.

We would like to thank all the family, friends and neighbors for the love, support and prayers they have given us during this difficult time. The overflowing of generosity from our community has comforted us more than you could possibly know. May god bless you.
