On January 1, 2013 we said good-bye to our wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She was taken into the loving arms of her awaiting savior, Jesus Christ. Chantai “Tai” Theurer, 50, Dickinson, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Tai’s funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Evangelical Bible Church, Dickinson, with Rev. James Hessler officiating. There will be a celebration of life service at 5 p.m., Friday, at Ladbury Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. and again one hour prior to service time at the church.

Chantai Onsisompu was born April 6, 1962 to Cain and Onsi Onsisompu in Laos. After completing her education in Laos, Tai moved to the United States in March 1980 with her uncle, aunt, and their family under a program sponsored by Evangelical Bible Church, Dickinson. After moving to Dickinson, Tai became the foster child of Roger and Linda Redding. Tai married Richard “Dick” Theurer, Jr. at Evangelical Bible Church on August 7, 1982.

Tai had several hobbies including dancing, fishing, cooking, and designing floral arrangements. Tai worked for Fred’s Fairway, Wal-Mart, Excel Cleaners, and Community First Nat’l Bank. She was a member of River of Life Church Int’l.

Tai is survived by her husband, Dick; three children, Danny (Tricia) Theurer, Cordova, Tenn., Danae (Lucas) Hendrickson, Dickinson, and Makenzie Theurer, Dickinson and Cloe (the dog); one sister and one brother; mother and father-in-law, Dick and Sylvia Theurer, Bowman: one cousin and one aunt and several sisters and brothers-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents. The family requests that a donation be made in Tai’s name to; community.als.net/thetheurers.
