Regina Meier, 90, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City. Regina’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant, and assisted by Deacon Tony Wanner. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a rosary led by Deacon Tony Wanner & vigil at 7 p.m., with Fr. Todd Kreitinger presiding.

Regina Bosch was born October 18, 1921 in Towner, the daughter of Simon and Johanna (Haman) Bosch. She was raised and educated in Towner and also attended school in Willow City.

She married Peter J. Meier on November 7, 1938 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Towner. They farmed in the Zeeland and Bottineau areas until the Fall of 1954, when they moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. The Meier’s returned to North Dakota and resided at Willow City for a period of time prior to moving to Georgia. Regina and Peter then made a move to Grants Pass, Ore., and in 2005 became residents at the Veterans Home in Lisbon, where they remained until moving to nthe Sheyenne Care Center, in Valley City.

Regina enjoyed sewing, working in the garden, baking and cooking, canning, reading, writing letters, and especially singing and dancing.

Regina is survived by her seven children, Mary Ann (Anton) Wanner, Dickinson, Gerald (Anita) Meier, Grants Pass, Ore., Robert Meier, Lisbon, Loretta (Howard) Brooks, Bono, Ark., Louise Turner, Lisle, Ill., Michael (Vickie) Meier, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Philip (Susan) Meier, Dawsonville, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma Kofoid, Bottineau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter on August 10, 2010; her parents; four siblings, Lena Chilton, Kathryn Burgard, Elizabeth Thorpe, and Adam Bosch; and two infant grandsons.
