Linus Roshau, 93, Killdeer, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial for Linus will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Killdeer, with Fr. Darnis Selvanayakam, MSFX as the celebrant. Interment will follow at the Killdeer Cemetery, with military honors provided by the Killdeer American Legion Ezra Barrows Post 46. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson led by Dan Tuhy.

Linus Roshau was born October 19, 1918, at Mary, the son of Emil and Katherine (Geiger) Roshau. While in the service, he married Rose Heiser at the Church of the Arch Angel in San Migeil, Calif., on August 25, 1943.

Rose and Linus raised three children, two sons and one daughter. He was also a World War II Veteran and was stationed in Germany and Italy. While in the service he received the Bronze Star for his heroic deeds. Following his discharge from the service, he and Rose moved to Killdeer for a few years, then moved to New Hradec, and then finally moved to the home place northwest of Killdeer in 1958, where he lived until his death.

He enjoyed farming and working on John Deere tractors, and taking his yearly trips with Rose.

Linus is survived by his sons, Stanley (Barb) Roshau, Gary (Karol) Roshau; daughter, Dorothy (John) Howard; three granddaughters; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Isabelle Hartman; and one brother, Joe Roshau. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose on May 16, 2002, his parents, Katherine and Emil, six sisters, one brother, one infant brother, six brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.
