Rose (Barta) Dolechek, 97, Dickinson, died April 8, 2011 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Rose’s funeral service will be on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Fr. Jim Braaten presiding. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue on Saturday from 8 a.m. to service time.
Rose Barta was born on May 3, 1913. She married Frank Dolechek in 1929. Together, they farmed and ranched in the Manning area for many years before becoming permanent residents of Dickinson. They were happily married for 59 years before Frank’s death in 1988. Rose was very active in the church and volunteered for the RSVP organization. She enjoyed needle work, gardening, canning and cooking for her family. Rose had a kind heart and always made time for others and their needs.
Rose is survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, brothers and sisters. She was an amazing person and will truly be missed.
