Mildred Dutke, 81, Dickinson, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck. A Parastas for Mildred will be at 11 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Belfield with Fr. Taras Miles presiding. Inurnment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be on Friday one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a rosary at 10:30 a.m., Friday at the church.
Mildred Zilkowski was born November 20, 1929 at Belfield, the daughter of Mike and Olga (Shypkowski) Zilkowski. She was raised and educated in Belfield, graduating from Belfield High School.
Mildred married Walter W. Dutke on January 31, 1949 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Throughout her life she had worked as a grocery clerk. The Dutke’s made their home in Belfield until moving to Dickinson in the mid 1990’s.
Mildred enjoyed gardening, and their trips to the west coast.
Mildred is survived by her husband, Walt; five sons, Darryl (Shirley) Dutke, South Heart, Dennis Dutke, Mandan, Dale (Janet) Dutke, Salem, Ore., Delwynn (Cindy) Dutke, Bismarck, and Douglas (Keely) Dutke, Bismarck; one brother, Joe (Dorothy) Zilkowski, Dickinson; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Rose.
