Christ J. Dolechek the son of Valentine and Anna (Huschka) Dolechek was born August 26, 1932 on the family farm which he continued to live his entire life. Christ was educated southeast of Dickinson and attended Frenzel Country School and completed the eigth grade. While in the military he received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Korean Service Medal.

Christ was united in marriage to Leona Twardoski on September 17, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and together they enjoyed 52 wonderful years. Thru this union four children were born Randy, Ricky, Andrea and Robby. Christ worked construction right out of the army and also farmed. He and Leona ran a farm and dairy, and many city folks enjoyed his visits to town delivering farm fresh cream, eggs and his specialty fresh chickens. Christ retired from farming in 1991 due to a disability, but they remained on the farm and he helped with whatever he could.

Christ belonged to the St. Anthony Club, German-Hungarian, AmVets and St. Pius Verein. He enjoyed social gatherings, playing cards, tinkering on machinery, outdoor activities, was a big Minnesota Twins fan, but most of all he especially cherished the time spent with his grandkids.

Christ is survived by his wife, Leona; their four children, Randy, Ricky (Lynn), Andrea and Robby (Dawn), all of Dickinson; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla and Mark Dolechek, Britany, Christopher and Alyssa Thernes, Jordan, Jaymin and Annabelle Dolechek; one great-grandson, Rye Thernes Mathern; three siblings, Johanna Messer, Dickinson, Ralph (Katie) Dolechek, Dickinson, Pauline (David) Sadowsky; and sister-in-law, Rose Mary Dolechek, New England.
