Belinda Kay Messer, 42, Bowman, formerly of Dickinson, died Friday, September 25, 2009 in Bowman as the result of injuries sustained from being struck by a vehicle. Belinda’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2009 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Jim Braaten as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Robert Stockert presiding.
Belinda Kay was born November 4, 1966 in Dickinson, the daughter of Raymond and Marilyn (Frenzel) Messer. She was raised and educated in the Dickinson area, graduating from Dickinson High School in 1988. Belinda moved to Bowman on April 26, 1997 where she met her special friend Ron Bosch. She was active and participated in Special Olympics for many years and also worked at ABLE, Inc.
Belinda loved working on latch hook rugs and word find puzzle books. She enjoyed playing Uno with her nieces and nephews. Belinda loved country music, she always wanted too watch CMT and GAC at family gatherings.
Belinda is survived by her 10 siblings, Marilyn Kenly, Austin, Texas, Ray Messer, Jr., Dickinson, Candice (Leo) Washington, Elgin, Texas, Michelle (Vern) Howard, Lewistown, Mont., DeAnne Messer, Dickinson, Kim Krug, Dickinson, Wendy Messer, Dickinson, Tobias (Sheri) Messer, Dickinson, Melissa (Jerrod) Warner, Dickinson and Jessica Messer, Dickinson; her grandma, Eugenia Messer; 21 nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and numerous friends and helpers she has met through the years at ABLE. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Lorene Messer; a sister, Annette Messer; and a nephew, Nathan Messer.
