Joann S. Deibert, 86, Dickinson, our mother was taken home to the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Joann’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary & vigil at 6 p.m., with Deacon Gene Morman presiding.
Joann was born on a farm near Napoleon where her principles of hard work were formed. Following high school she taught country school before moving to Fargo where she met and married Tom Deibert. They lived in Fargo and Grand Forks before moving to Williston.
Joann and Tom had four children, Jim, Mary, Tom and Dana. Joann loved going to church and also volunteered at the hospital and nursing homes.
Joann is survived by her four children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
