Bill was born November 30, 1960 in Dickinson the son of Albert and Charlotte (Obrigewitch) Hlebechuk. He was raised and educated in Belfield having graduated from Belfield High School in 1979. He then went on to attend one year at Bismarck Junior College.

Bill married Rene Marquart on November 26, 1982 at St. Bernard’s. They have made Belfield their home where Bill was in partnership with his brothers in Hlebechuk Construction. Having grown up in a family owned excavating business, Bill started early and became an accomplished operator on all machines. His specialty was the blade. His pride and finesse behind the controls was second to no one. A tribute to his abilities was that many faithful customers requested that he personally be involved on their projects. With over 32 years on earth moving experience, Bill will be dearly missed in the industry by his customers, employees and his brothers.

Bill has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for the past 27 years, and also the Belfield Sportsman Club. He enjoyed watching DSU sporting events, drag races and NASCAR, he collected John Deere toy tractors and caterpillars. Hunting and shooting, working on cars and reading would occupy many hours. Bill loved to visit, you could almost say that he was a professional conversationalist. His family was very important to him and when it was time to knock off of work, it was time to go home and pester the kids.
