Michaell Schieffer, 65, South Heart died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Michaell’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2008 at River of Life Church International, Dickinson with Rev. James Hessler officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Michaell J. Schieffer was born August 5, 1943 at Beach, ND the son of Herman and Evelyn (McDanold) Schieffer. He was raised in the Beach area having attended country school prior to Beach High School where he graduated in 1961.

Michaell married Junice Knote on August 21, 1961 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Beach. He worked in the oil fields and did some farming before beginning a career in trucking in the 1970’s. In 1981 Michaell began trucking for Conoco and when he retired in 2003 he was the Transportation Supervisor for them.

Michaell married Gloria McCracken-Sanders on July 9, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nev., and they have made their home in South Heart since 2003. He enjoyed camping, Playing the accordion and fishing, his greatest joy came from family and especially his grandchildren. Michaell was a hard worker and no matter what he did he did full out and to the best of his ability.

Michaell is survived by his wife, Gloria; three children, Donna (Mikel) Rangitsch, Dickinson, Jeff (Audrey) Schieffer, Beach, and Tammie Schieffer, Williston; two step-children, Amanda (fiance’-Kurt Hood) Fant, Granbury, Texas and Dustin (special friend-Lisa Flores) Fant, Weatherford, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jessica Finneman, Brandon Schieffer, Jessica Schieffer, Jamie Rangitsch, Jerae Rangitsch, Michaell Lamon, Kimberlie Lamon and Ashley Fant; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Finneman and Gaige Clark; one sister, Carol (Al) Weidner, Beach; one brother, Bernard (Judy) Schieffer, Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
