Rose Stroh, 89, Dickinson died October 9, 2008 at Hill Top Home of Comfort, Killdeer. Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Darnis Selvanayakam officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., Monday with Deacon Jerry Volk presiding at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Rose Hartman was born October 17,1918 at Killdeer to Anton and Mary Eva (Schafer) Hartman. She was educated in Fayette. Rose married Jacob Stroh on October 11, 1937. They lived and farmed southwest of Manning. From this union four sons and one daughter were born. On June 16, 1949 Rose lost her beloved husband in a boating accident at Lake Ilo. Rose and the children continued to live on the farm until the fall of 1949 when they moved to Dickinson.

Rose worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and did house cleaning and baby sitting for several families in Dickinson. Rose’s greatest joy was taking care of her children and working in the garden. Her flower garden was always so beautiful. Rose was a member of Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, and St. Ann’s Altar Society.

Rose is survived by three sons and their families, Donald (Phyllis), Dickinson, Don (Denette), Samantha and Cameron, Longmont, Colo. and Dawn Stroh, Erie, Colo.; Al (Maria), Kelly (Matt) Milbrodt, Marissa and Jacob all of Rogers, Ark., and Cody Stroh, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Ervin, Dickinson, Lori Ann Hartwig, Newberry Port, Mass., Rick (Pam) Hartwig, Michelle, Brandt, Chase, Macey, and Kylee all of Fargo; son-in-law, Abel Dominguez, Cindy (Tommy) Barrett, Rosita and Jesse all of Norman, Okla., Dan (Susan) Dominguez, Kyle and Blake, Edmond, Okla.; six sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and many nephews, nieces and their families.

Waiting to greet her in heaven are her husband, Jacob; son, Raymond; daughter, Lorraine; her parents; three brothers, one sister, five brothers-in-law, and four sisters-in-law.
