Tom Stroh, 55, Dickinson, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Tom’s funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2008 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Fr. Todd Kreitinger presiding. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday with the family present to greet and visit with friends and from 8 a.m. to service time on Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Tom Stroh was born September 9, 1952 in Dickinson the son of Peter and Barbara (Hutmacher) Stroh. He was raised and educated in Dickinson graduating from Dickinson High School in 1970.
Tom worked with his dad doing carpentry work and also with a seismograph crew prior to going to work for the Northern Improvement Company, where he worked for the past 25 years. Tom married Kathy Bear on December 18, 1982 in Dickinson and they have made Dickinson their home since. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and truly cherished his time spent with his grandchildren. Tom belonged to the St. Anthony Club and the Local Union #49.
Tom is survived by his wife, Kathy; two daughters, Jolene (Brian) Wanner, Dickinson and Mandy (Jason Perius) Rel, Bismarck; three grandchildren, Levi and Jordyn Wanner and Kalyn Bohrer; and two brothers, Robert (Linda) Stroh, Williston, and Kevin Stroh, Manassas, Va.. He was preceded in death by both parents and an infant brother, Freddie.
