Charlotte L. Cymbaluk, 71, Belfield, ND, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Charlotte’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Belfield with Fr. Shannon Lucht as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service and from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday at the church, and will continue one hour prior to services on Saturday. There will be a Catholic Daughters rosary and vigil at 7:30 p.m., Friday at the church.
Charlotte Freyberger was born September 2, 1936 in Montgomery, Ind., the daughter of Glenn and Dena (Denakas) Freyberger. She was raised and educated in Indiana having graduated from Alfordsville High School, Alfordsville, Ind., in 1954. She lived in Alaska for a period of time prior to moving to Dickinson in the mid 1960’s where she went to work for American State Bank.
Charlotte married Victor E. Cymbaluk on October 14, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson. They lived north of Belfield where they raised there family. Charlotte worked for the Billings County FSA Office until it closed in July 1995 and then she transferred to the Dickinson office, remaining there until retiring on December 3, 1997.
Charlotte belonged to the Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, had served on the Parish Council and St. Bernard’s School Board and was a volunteer at the Arc Aid. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and crocheting, but her greatest enjoyment came from doing things for others and the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Victor; their three children, Samantha (Marty) Arnold, Williston, Scott (Anji) Cymbaluk, Belfield, and Cindy Cymbaluk, Kindred; her sister, Vaneda Hinkle, Washington, Ind.; and their six grandchildren, Casey Arnold, Jessica Arnold, Ranie Cymbaluk, Bradie Cymbaluk, Kori Cymbaluk and Kelli Cymbaluk. She was preceded in death by her parents.
