Arnold Hueske, 83, Richardton, ND died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Trinity Hospital, Minot, ND. Arnold’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton with Rev. Steven Schou officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Richardton with military honors provided by the Richardton American Legion, Theo. R. Zech Post #180. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Arnold G. Hueske was born July 2, 1924 on the family farm near Kyseth, ND, north of Richardton. He was the son of Frederick A. and Fredricka (Heinnemann) Hueske. He was raised and educated in this area where he attended country school. Arnold served in the United States Army from March 10, 1945 to his honorable discharge on September 3, 1946. While in the military he was a mechanic assigned to the Military Police. He returned to the family homestead where he continued farming.

Arnold married Rose Forster on June 1, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton. Together they continued to farm and ranch on the farm that Arnold was born on. They remained on the farm until the time of his death.

Arnold was a member of the Richardton American Legion and of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Richardton. In his spare time he enjoyed restoring old farm equipment, traveling, and going to Farm and Ag shows. Arnold loved and cherished the time that he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Rose; their four children, Kenneth (Kathy) Hueske, Richardton, Sharon Reinmiller, Staplehurst, NE, Jane Thompson, Minot, ND, and Darla (David) Megalli, Cairo, Egypt; one sister, Ruth Perhus, Dickinson; nine grandchildren, Jeff (Sandy) Hueske, Lisa Vannote, Donna (Mike) Van Keulen, Dustin Hueske, Shaun (Erin) Benedict, Jeremy (Becky) Benedict, Brenda (Perry) Rettinger, Connie (Grant) Buck, and Dawn Thompson; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce; two brothers, Clarence and Ervin; an infant sister, Florence; great-granddaughter, Grace Benedict; and one son-in-law, Ed Thompson.
