Katherine R. Binstock, 95, Dickinson, ND, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Katherine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Dennis Schafer as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson., with a rosary and vigil at 7:30 p.m.. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Katherine R. Praus was born in Stark County of North Dakota on May 12, 1911 to Julius and Mary (Huschka) Praus. She was raised and attended school in rural Stark County.

Katherine married Frank J. Binstock on June 10, 1929 and moved to a farm 12 miles south of South Heart in the Daglum area. In 1945 they moved to Dickinson where she resided until her passing. She became a resident of St. Benedict’s Health Center in 1999.

Katherine enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, playing bingo and cards.

Grateful for having shared her life are her nine children, Elizabeth Zent, Clarence (Elizabeth) Binstock, Clara (Frank) Steier, Fran (Lud) Dukart, Jerry (Judy) Binstock all of Dickinson, Monica (Clarence) Barta, Billings, MT, Ronald (Kathleen) Binstock, Elkhorn, WI, Gladys (Leonard) Kudrna, Black River Falls, WI, Mel (Patty Seibel) Binstock, Bismarck; 27 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; six great, great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerome (Evon) Praus and Frank (Eugenia) Praus, Dickinson; and three sisters, Rose Praus, Dickinson, Clementine (Ulrich) Ficek, Glendive, MT, and Anna Dukart, Grand Forks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on June 10, 1988, her parents, three grandsons, Scott Dukart, Shawn Binstock, and Dennis Zent, one great-grandson, Lance Miller, one great-granddaughter, Brittany Steier, one son-in-law, Marcus Zent, three brothers, Louie, Vince and Tony Praus, Sr., and three sisters, Agnes Dworshak, Mary Morel and Margaret Praus.
