Gavin Westerlund, 23, Dickinson, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Essentia Health-Fargo after a short battle with covid. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a time of sharing at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson.
Gavin’s first job for a time in high school was at Steffen Saw and Bike. After graduation in 2016. Gavin went to work at Steffes Corporation.
He loved his family and friends. Gavin spent many hours playing games, collecting knives, drawing, tinkering with his pickup and motorcycle. Gavin loved to go fishing and hunting with his grandfather, Harlen Heinle.
Gavin is survived by his mother, Elaine Heinle, Dickinson; three brothers, Devin, Jamestown, Caden and Joseph, both of Dickinson; sisters, Stephanie, Bismarck and Ashley, Dickinson; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tracy Westerlund; one brother, Christopher; grandparents, Harlen and Alvina (Dassinger) Heinle, Arnie and Sharon Wick; and many aunts and uncles.
We love you Gavin. You’re a great son, brother and friend. We will see you again. And you will be missed greatly.
