Pauline Schwindt, 82, Dickinson, died Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Pauline’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.
Pauline Bosch, a daughter of Wendeline and Pauline (Rebsom) Bosch, was born August 23, 1939 in Dickinson. She attended grade school and high school in Killdeer, graduating in 1957. She worked at Walth’s Grocery, Red Owl Grocery, and K-Mart as a cashier for many years. She married Albert Schwindt Jr., August 27, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. She could always be found cooking and baking for her family for holidays, embroidering, and gardening. When they were able, she would never turn down a short vacation to the Black Hills. A stop in the Deadwood casinos was always a must. She will go to heaven thanking everyone for what they have done.
Pauline is survived by her three children, Carla (Gerald) Stephenson, Dickinson, Curt Schwindt (Darcie Johnson), Lincoln, and Paulette (Dale) Hofer, Florence, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Nathan Stephenson, Kayla (Brent) Nelson, and Preston (Morgan) Hofer; four great-grandchildren, Daven and Erik Nelson, and Conrad and Hawkins Hofer; brother-in-law, Tony Schwindt; two sisters-in-law, Betty Kubischta, and Darlene (Allan) Praus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, on March 27, 2021; great-granddaughter, Karly Nelson; her parents; her four brothers and seven sisters; and a sister-in-law.
