Richard W. Schuhrke, 66, Belfield, died on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his home. Richard’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at Belfield Lutheran Church with Pastor Dawn Busch officiating. Inurnment will take place at Belfield Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m.
Richard W. Schuhrke was born on January 20, 1957 in Dickinson, the son of Richard and Caroline (Job) Schuhrke. He was raised and educated in Belfield. He worked in the oil field at a young age and for the city of Belfield. He owned and operated a small engine repair shop for years. His passion was trapping and hunting which also led him to do animal damage control.
Richard was united in marriage to Sharlene Rudland on April 1, 2000 at Belfield Lutheran Church. They made their home in Belfield.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and he belonged to the fur takers.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sharlene, Belfield; children, Tristen Schuhrke, Bismarck, Jonathan Schuhrke, Belfield, and Blaine Schuhrke, Glendive, MT; step-daughter, Kristine Lauf, Belfield; grandchildren, Eddie Hickey, Savannah Hickey and Conner Hickey, all of Bowling Green, KY; father-in-law, Donald Rudland; and many cousins and extended Rudland Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy; brother, Donald; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Rudland; and step-daughter, April Peterson.
