Dorothy Ann Reager, 79, Dickinson, died on Monday, February 27, 2023 at her home. Dorothy’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson.
Dorothy Ann Dassinger was born on October 31, 1943 in Regent, the daughter of Pete and Magdalene “Lena” (Wollman) Dassinger. She was raised on the family farm where she worked alongside her family. Dorothy was educated through the eighth grade. She moved to Dickinson where she bussed tables and washed dishes at a local café.
Dorothy married William Reager and they were blessed with two daughters, Laura and Holly. She raised the girls in Dickinson while working in Environmental Services at St. Joseph’s Hospital. After retirement, she dedicated her time to her family.
She enjoyed collecting and sometimes trying new recipes! She spent time doing crossword puzzles and reading the Bible. The thing that she loved most was visits with her grandchildren and playing cards with friends.
Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Laura (Duane) Knowles, Jamestown and Holly Winn, Dickinson; six grandchildren, Lexi, Desaray, Alli, Avrie, Dejah and Donnie; great-grandchildren, Everett and Unallia; siblings, Betty Syminow, Dickinson, Evelyn Dorval, Dickinson, and Kenneth Dassinger, Miles City, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eleanor and Johana; brothers, Conrad, Peter, Roland and George.
