Loran Hutmacher, 67, Gladstone, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home. Loran’s Liturgy of Word Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Loran Hutmacher was born on April 11, 1956 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson, son of Joseph and Felicitas (Schiltz) Hutmacher. He grew up on the family farm north of Gladstone. Loran was educated in the Iota School District and graduated from Dickinson High School. He lived his entire life on the family farm, working on his family’s farming and dairy operation. Loran enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and collecting toy tractors.
Loran is survived by his siblings, Leroy (Jane Heiser) Hutmacher, Dickinson, Larry (Connie) Hutmacher, Dickinson, Linda Hutmacher-Smith, Dickinson, Lyle Hutmacher, Gladstone, Lee (Laura) Hutmacher, Dickinson, and Les Hutmacher, Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Leonard and Leo.
