Mardella F. Rohde, 88, Dickinson, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Mardella’s Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. MT, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Golgotha Lutheran Cemetery, Golden Valley with Rev. Michael Wolters as officiant.
Mardella Neuberger was born on January 21, 1936 in Zap to Carl and Margaret (Unrath) Neuberger. She was raised and educated in Zap area. Mardella married Harley Rohde and they made their home in Golden Valley. After they divorced, she moved to Dickinson, finally learned how to drive a car in her 50s and worked at TMI until she retired.
She enjoyed reading, and especially loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mardella was also a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dickinson.
Mardella is survived by her son, Elliott (Ava Schoepp), Lincoln; her daughter, Bonnie (Stan) Heidecker, Dickinson; her daughter-in-law, Cinthia Rohde, Dickinson; grandchildren, Mariah (Matt) Weigum, Richie Szathmary, Candice Szathmary, Cole Rohde, and Caitlin (Connor) McNeilly; great-grandchildren, Zara, Ariana, Aiden, August, Hayes, and Tayla Mardella; nieces, Margaret Maclin, Mandan, and Brenda (Jim) Klein, Dickinson; and nephew, Terry (Marietta) Neuberger, Mandan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Ron Rohde, and Dennis Rohde; her brothers, Wilmer Neuberger, and Elder “Red” Neuberger; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; grandson, Ricky Szathmary; granddaughter Sarah Rohde; and nephew, Blair Neuberger.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Bakken Paw Animal Rescue/Molly’s Lounge (2625 3rd Ave West, Dickinson, ND 58601) or a charity of your choice.
