Terry Homsey August 7, 1952 - May 15, 2024

Date of Funeral

Thursday, May 23, 2024

The Funeral Service of Terry Homsey will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. David Ling as officiant. Interment will follow at Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

I, Terry Homsey, tipped over (passed away) on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, while an inmate (resident) at the old codger’s prison (Marion Manor Healthcare Center) in Glen Ullin. I began my sentence (stay) at the prison (nursing home) in August of 2023 after taking a header (fall) at my home.

I was born August 7, 1952, in Dickinson, the son of Alex and Ruth (Heinle) Homsey. Those of you that know me, know that I had a tight hold on my jingle (money), didn’t like to use bouncers (checks) and for sure, didn’t want you to have any of my piggy bank (savings). You also know that I liked to tie on the feed bag (eat out), unless buzzard (chicken or turkey) was the only thing on the menu. My favorite meal of all was my mother’s BBQ ribs, which I perfected and kept the recipe hidden in plain sight (taped to the cupboard door).

My best friends were my rescue dogs. They knew me and accepted me for who I was. My most prized possessions were my Corvettes, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and my LOUD engines. I was fortunate enough to have a handful of close friends that I considered my family.

I was preceded in death by my parents, and only sister, Diane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Oreo’s Animal Rescue.
