Ronnie Larson, 83, Dickinson, died on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Care Center, Bismarck. Ronnie’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. Richard Shores as officiant. Interment will take place at Alden Cemetery, Regent. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Ronnie M. Larson was born July 22, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson, the son of Marvin L. and Marian (Anderson) Larson. He was raised in Regent for 11 years until his parents moved the family to Dickinson where his father worked for Mann’s Automotive. He finished grade school at Berg Elementary and graduated from Central High School in 1959.
Ronnie attended Hob City Bible School in Aberdeen, SD for one year. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior in 1958 and was baptized by submersion that year. He finished college with a BS Degree in Secondary Education in 1969. Ronnie worked several jobs during summer breaks which included: surveyor’s assistant, gas station attendant, truck stop, carpenter, etc.
After college he worked for Koch Industries for 30 years starting as a truck driver hauling crude oil, dispatcher, district foreman, and district superintendent. Prior to retirement, he worked for Jerry Williams Trucking and then ten years with Martin Construction. Ronnie retired at the age of 70.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and later the Church of God in Dickinson. He was also an Elks member for several years. Ronnie enjoyed church events and going fishing with his dad, Marvin, and later with his dad and son, Lance in Canada for many years.
Ronnie is survived by his daughter, DeeAnn Sherree (Cally) Marsh, Dickinson; son, Lance Lynn (Angie) Larson, Dickinson; three grandchildren, Ciarra Marsh, Alannah Marsh, and Logan Marsh; siblings, Denyce L. (Jim) Jennings, Shelby, NC, and Jerilee A. (Richard) Shores, Shelby, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin L. Larson (6-25-05) and Marian V. Larson (04-30-21); cousins, Leon Anderson (2022), and Rodney Eggers (1986).
