Nina Jean Shanabarger, 67, Dickinson, died on Saturday, April 5, 2025 with family by her side at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. No services will be held at this time.
Nina Jean Stowers was born October 3, 1957 in Muleshoe, TX, the daughter of Jesse and Erma (Rury) Stowers. Prior to moving to Dickinson, she lived in numerous places such as Ely, NV, Las Vegas, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, Hereford, TX, and VA.
She was united in marriage to Steve Shanabarger on June 19, 1998 at Youngstown, OH. They eventually made their home in Dickinson. She loved to be married to the love of her life, Steve. She also loved hanging out with her grandson, Jaedon, and cooking for him and his friends. Nina enjoyed hanging out with her best friend, Lisa, and her two dogs, Mia and Harley. They were her babies, and she spoiled them. She enjoyed doing yard work and cooking.
Nina is survived by her husband, Steve; three children, Brandy (Paul) Herrera, Las Vegas, NV, Chris King, Dickinson, and Cory (Kandace) King, Dickinson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jimmy Don Stowers, Hereford, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Stowers, mother, Erma Stowers; brothers, Bobby Stowers, and Roy Lee Stowers.
