Edward Bosch, age 74, passed away in Fremont, California on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Ed’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A.M. PDT, Monday, May 5, 2025 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 4000 E Castro Valley Blvd., Castro Valley, California, 94552. Viewing will be at 10 A.M. PDT, one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, California at a later date.

Ed was born on September 5, 1950 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota to Joseph Ralph and Veronica (Hitchrick) Bosch. He attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and Trinity High School, graduating in 1968. He then enlisted in the Navy in 1968, including service in the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1974. After his service, Ed moved to San Francisco Bay Area and lived there for the past 50 years, most notably in Castro Valley. He worked for Xerox in San Francisco, and then as a Director of Sales for Fujitsu in Silicon Valley for over 25 years, frequently traveling to Japan for work. Most recently, he worked for Acacia Masonic Retirement Home, providing driving services for the elderly. Ed was an animal lover and had many dogs and cats over the years. He also enjoyed baseball and football and was a lifelong Yankees and Broncos fan. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Ed is survived by his wife of nearly 22 years, Cynthia; Cynthia’s children, Hazel (Ariel) Abrea, Geusseppi (Arian) Puno, and Ivan (Angelie) Puno; Ed’s daughter, Jennifer (Charlie) Garcia; sisters, Mary (Louie) Stradiotto, and Susan (Dwight) Hauck; sister-in-law, Becky Bosch; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Dan) Groves, Gary Stradiotto, Sandi (Steve) Harrington, Patricia (Aaron) Dinardi, Kari (Bruce) Morast, Robert Bosch, Laura (Tyler) Vixie, and Rebecca (Levi) Schoenfeld; grandchildren, Hailey and Aubrey Abrea, Wilhelm and Geuliana Puno, Gabriella and Aviana Puno, Kevin and Kiera Garcia, great-nieces and nephews, Cianna and Markus Groves, Kelly Harrington, Isaac, Eliana, and Klara Schoenfeld, Wyatt Bosch, Abigail, Aeden Dinardi, Raylee, Megan, and Blake Morast, and Derrick (Missy) Covert; great-great-nieces, Oakley and Avery Covert.

He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Ralph and Veronica Bosch; sisters, Joan Spradley and Shirley Bosch; brother, Val Bosch; brother-in-law, Richard Spradley; and sister-in-law, Paulette Bosch.
