Ethel M. Binstock, age 94, Dickinson, died on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Margaret Binstock, under the care of CHI Health at Home. Ethel’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Robert Shea as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Pius Cemetery, Schefield. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a Rosary & Vigil at 4 p.m. with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Monday at the church.

Ethel Marie Roeder was born on May 31, 1931, in Stark County, ND the daughter of Edward and Rose (Heick) Roeder. She was the second oldest of five children.

Ethel Roeder married Paul Binstock on October 18, 1949, at St. Pius Catholic Church in Schefield. Ethel and Paul lived on the Binstock homestead where they raised their ten children. When Paul passed away on November 30, 1998, Ethel moved to Dickinson.

Ethel was a devoted Catholic, and enjoyed her family, cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and in later years playing Pokeno with her friends. There were always desserts in the house. Ethel was a parishioner of St. Wenceslaus Church, a 71 year member of St. Pius Verein of Schefield, and a member of St. Ann’s Altar Society of St. Wenceslaus Church.

Ethel is survived by her ten children: Lucille Radke, Fargo, Claire Janesh, Spearfish, SD, Judy and Tom Roll, Richardton, Laura Jurgens, Bismarck, Janice LeTexier, Dickinson, Allan and Margaret (Kilzer) Binstock, Dickinson, Melvin and Roxanne (Evoniuk) Binstock, Dickinson, Tim and Melinda (Benshoof) Binstock, Gilbert, AZ, Gerald and Rita (Krivoruchka) Binstock, Dickinson, and Paula and Todd Amsbaugh, Big Sandy, MT. Ethel is also survived by her sister, Georgianna Johnson, Spokane, WA; her brother, Virgil (Karen) Roeder, Old Town, ID; and sister-in-law, Albina Binstock Powers, Irving, TX; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Rose Roeder; spouse Paul; two infant daughters; three granddaughters; one great-grandson; two sons-in-law, Rudy Radke and Richard LeTexier; two sisters, Jeanette (Jim) Morgan, and Annette (Earl) Gray; and brother-in-law, Al Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Ethel can be made to CHI Health at Home or St. Wenceslaus Church.
