LeRoy P. Frank, 80, Dickinson, died on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at his home. LeRoy’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2025 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Shea as celebrant. Military Honors will be provided by the Dickinson American Legion Post 3 Honor Guard. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a Rosary and Vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at the church.
LeRoy was born December 22, 1944 in Dickinson, the son of Jack and Katherine (Herauf) Frank. He was raised and educated in Dickinson and graduated from Dickinson High School. He served honorably in the United States Navy from September 27, 1963 through September 19, 1967.
When he returned from the Navy, he began working at Hauck Industries, Beaudoin Concrete and finally began his lifelong career at TMI on September 17, 1969 where he worked as a laborer until his retirement in 2007.
He returned to Dickinson was united in marriage with Catherine Friesz in August 1971. LeRoy enjoyed bowling, dancing at the Single’s Club at St. Anthony’s, working on cars and driving his 1969 Mercury Cyclone.
The marriage was blessed with three children, Brian (Jackie) Frank of Dickinson, Shawn (Sarah) Frank of Dickinson, and Nikki (Don) Weidner of Bismarck. His pride was his seven grandchildren – Madolyn, Dawson, Devon, Ty Frank – all of Dickinson and Cooper, Ava, Nora Weidner of Bismarck.
LeRoy is survived by his children; brothers, Vic (Linda) Frank and Ben Frank (Tillie) of Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard Frank, Evelyn Gawryluk, Kathleen Ebner and LaVerne Frank.
