Harley W. Dengel March 19, 1958 - October 24, 2025

Harley Wayne Dengel, 67, of Dickinson passed away on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at home. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Harley was born March 19th, 1958 in Dickinson to Carl Dengel and Gertrude Zimmerman. He was raised in Dickinson and Hebron, graduating from Hebron High School in 1976. After graduation he enlisted in the army and served until 1980, serving in Kansas and Korea. Following his honorable discharge from the army he moved to Dickinson and worked as a heavy equipment operator. He worked various construction jobs for the rest of his career, mostly as a heavy equipment operator. On December 4th, 1982 he married Tamara Hauge in Fergus Falls Minnesota. Harley and Tammy made their home in Dickinson for the next 43 years where they raised three sons. Harley enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to rock and roll music, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and driving his prized 1973 Camaro.

Harley is survived by his wife of 43 years Tammy; his three sons, Shaun (Crystal) Dengel, Cody (Cheryl) Dengel, and Travis (Tiffany) Dengel; two brothers, Howard (Marge) Dengel, and Harlan Dengel; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Dengel; stepfather and mother Arnold and Gertrude Zimmerman; father and mother-in-law, Myron (Mike), and Gloria Hauge; brother-in-law, Timothy (Tim) Hauge; and nephew, Matthew Hauge.
