Terry Lyle Wyckoff, age 66, of Dickinson, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Terry’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Justin Waltz as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Saturday one hour prior to the Mass at the church. All are invited to join the family for a luncheon in the Pine Room at St. Joseph’s following the burial.

Terry was born in Beach, North Dakota, to Lyle Wyckoff and Marcelina (Hecker) Wyckoff, the second of four children. During his youth, the family resided in the Medora and Belfield areas. Terry graduated from Belfield High School in 1978.

On May 2, 1981, Terry married the love of his life, Jeanette Tormaschy. Their marriage was marked by devotion and a deep enjoyment of life together. In 1989, they received the long awaited call that they had been chosen as the parents of a baby girl. Becoming a father was one of Terry’s greatest adventures, and Jennifer was always his pride and joy. His proudest moment came in 2024, when he witnessed her Mass of the Rite of Consecration as a Consecrated Virgin for the Diocese of Bismarck.

Terry had an extraordinary work ethic and began his working years custom combining his sophomore and junior years with his cousin Charles Brindle. He worked for almost 30 years as a gas plant operator. He later discovered a love for truck driving and attended truck driving school at Dickinson State University, from there he went on to make a career hauling everything from mail, milk, and oil to food and freight, taking pride in honest work and long days on the road. He finished his driving career with over 1 million miles driven with no accidents.

In the last two years of his semi-retirement, Terry especially cherished driving school bus and the children on Bus 30, a role that brought him great joy and purpose.

Terry enjoyed fishing and hunting, going for drives in his pickup with Jeanette and their beloved dog, Etta Mae, target shooting with Jen, listening to classic country music (he excelled at music trivia), tinkering with his 1979 Chevy truck, watching westerns and his favorite movie “Elf”, game nights with friends, and telling lots of stories. He had a quiet strength, a steady presence, and a heart deeply devoted to his family and friends.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jeanette Wyckoff; his daughter, Jennifer Wyckoff; and his best furry friend, Etta Mae. He is also survived by his best friends, Bob and Vicki Siefken, Robert and Patti Sheesley, and Aaron and Toril Burckhard.

He is further survived by his mother, Marcelina Krug; his sister, Kathy Wyckoff; and his brothers, Jack Wyckoff and Lyle Wyckoff Jr. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law: Debbie and Dave Krebs, Donald Tormaschy, Sandie and Frank Dillman, Jody and Chuck Gresser, and Jane and Pat Frank, along with many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Wyckoff; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Marie Tormaschy; and numerous aunts and uncles.

May Terry rest in the peace of Christ and rise in the glory of the Resurrection.
